The Tried & Tested Cable Safety Review

overland

After the successful launch of our Cable & Co. home brand Cable Safety, we put our technologically sound shoes to the test where they mattered the most.

Paramedic Elton Smith and Emergency Care Worker Alvonso Basson put the Cable Safety boots to the test while on duty, and this is their experience.

Elton – Paramedic

Elton

Elton wore the steel-toe Quartz in black. This power-packed safety boot boasts the following vital specs:

  • PU leather upper
  • Speed lacing system for ease of adjustability for comfort
  • Bellows tongue to keep grit and debris out
  • Leather fitting tabs for fitting ease
  • Ballistic nylon and padded tongue for comfort
  • Moisture wicking and breathable mesh lining
  • Padded collar for ankle support
  • Achilles notch for added comfort
  • Large toe-box area within the steel toe environment for movement and tarsal freedom
  • Rubber toe cap for abrasion resistance and protection
  • Dual density footbed for comfort and shock-absorption
  • Injection moulded construction
  • Genuine leather outsole with 4.5mm lug depth for durability and traction

Elton provides intermediate emergency medical care to the sick and injured outside a hospital setting. This means he is constantly on his feet and on the move.

“Safety is our main concern in our daily duties – to be fully alert of the environment you are working in,” says Elton. “Like when you get dispatched to a construction site, full personal protective gear is of utmost importance, especially reliable, comfortable safety steel-toe boots.”

About the Cable Safety Quartz boot, Elton says: “This Cable Safety boot is a breathable, reliable safety boot with its slip resistant soles.”
